HORSE RIDING

Q: Is it true that horseback riding carries risks for people with cystic fibrosis? What are they ?

A: Horseback riding does not pose any particular risk for people with cystic fibrosis.
It may even be beneficial since it requires some cardiovascular effort. It is different if a person has a horse allergy. In such a case, it is better to refrain from doing
horse riding. It is also possible to come into contact with certain germs in a stable. It is therefore always important to reduce your risk of infection by adopting good hygiene
hands.
