Jean-Christophe Rehel

He has cystic fibrosis, a disease that affects his writing a lot. Indeed, he explores a lot the themes of loneliness, fatigue and illness. However, his writing is not lacking in humor, and is often self-deprecating. His works are said to describe both the beauty and the blandness of everyday life. Follow him on social networks

Odile Lefrancois
At the age of 15, Odile Lefrancois, who became the youngest bi-pulmonary transplant recipient in Quebec, in her book entitled”different, marked for life” and published in 2020, gives us his testimony on this experience.

The new year is coming and I am still asking myself this eternal question. Literature is my whole life. My studies, my free time, my passion. I write every day and I still find ways to tell myself that it's not enough. When I'm not at my keyboard or when I don't have a pencil in my hands, it's the words of others that I consume. Not necessarily to inspire me, just to get away http://blog-eboulements.com/

The objective of this event is also to bring together all participants, regardless of the theme addressed: current topics (mental health, relationships with others, etc.), literary and - or artistic - career,... Quite simply, concepts that are important to the participants.

At 13:15 p.m., the event will be launched by our director general, Josée Côté, who will then give way to the coordinator Sébastien Puli to present Jean-Christophe Rehel, his career and his works. A prolific FK author, Jean-Christophe will answer all your questions. Do not hesitate to share them with us in advance on our social networks or in the comments, the meeting will only be more enriching and dynamic.

This first exchange will take place from 13:20 to 14:20 approximately, then Sébastien will do the same with Odile. Her point of view, her personality, her background, are more reasons to join us, emotion will be there, that's for sure!

The end of the event is scheduled for 15:30 p.m., we are waiting for you in large numbers and enthusiastic to make this moment exceptional!

These virtual meetings are a valuable opportunity, especially given the isolation that affects us all at different levels during this very special time. We will discuss some topics concerning the majority of our participants, who are aware of the quality of life of adults with CF. It is this quality of life that is particularly tested this year.
