Vertex Foundation Scholarship

The Vertex Foundation Scholarship offers financial assistance to people living with cystic fibrosis (CF) or their families (siblings and caregivers) to enable them to pursue two, three, or four years of studies or higher education by covering a portion of college or university tuition fees. In Canada, seven scholarships are awarded each year.

Scholarship recipients are selected by an independent committee composed of members of the CF community based on a presentation text and a demonstration of their commitment to the community and their academic achievements.

To be able to apply, the applicant must be:

• in the process of being enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in the first, second, third, or fourth year of high school or graduating from a post-secondary program in the fall of 2021, and have a good academic performance;
• a person who has been diagnosed with CF or a family member (brother or sister) of such a person;
• an authorized resident of Canada.

Applications for the 2021-2022 school year will be accepted as early as the end of 2020, and recipients will be notified in early 2021.
