Then, they tell me about the very high risks of premature delivery. 50% of twins are born before 35 weeks of pregnancy. They explain to me that at 24 weeks of pregnancy, babies are viable, but that brain development is not over, as is the development of many major organs. To counter an early birth, there is a good chance that I will be bedridden if I have the slightest sign of shortening my cervix, or any sign of labor.

There is also the risk of giving birth to babies of very low weight, i.e. less than 5 lbs.

After all these explanations that are not at all reassuring, I understand that I am going to war. Against whom, I don't really know, but I will have to fight for my babies to grow well, and this battle creates a lot of stress.
