Editor's note
The editor takes stock of a significant year for the FK community, marked by access to Trikafta and an issue rich in testimonies, expertise and scientific advances.

A successful year
Dear readers, once again this year, it is with great pleasure that we are sending you our magazine Santé Vous Bien (SVB)!
The year 2021 was particularly rich for the fibrocystic community. Indeed, after long discussions and the hard work of many people, Trikafta is finally covered by the public drug insurance plan. In this issue, you will find an interview with Kim Steele, Director of Government and Community Relations for Cystic Fibrosis Canada, who agreed to answer our questions. About your organization, a new board of directors has been formed with an ever-strong desire to work to improve the quality and living conditions of people living with cystic fibrosis in Quebec.
We have worked hard to offer you again this year rich and diversified content that will certainly interest you. You will find our traditional testimonies there. Sophie will talk to us about her feelings as a carrier of a rare mutation, Alexie will talk about anxiety related to hospitalization, while Amélie, who has recently come of age, will discuss this pivotal stage in life. Éric, father of FK children, will provide a caregiver perspective from the perspective of his specialty, thanatology. Finally, Pierre-Alexandre agreed to answer our questions and to testify about his adoption process while being a single person with CF.
Afterwards, several experts will discuss their specialties. Élisa Baldet, zootherapist and coordinator at the Institut de zooérapie du Québec-International, will present animal therapy as an approach that promotes well-being; psychologist Dannick Blanchet will discuss the topics of depression and anxiety; and researchers Mylène Vaillancourt and Peter A. Jorth, for their part, will share their current work on pseudomonas. The “Health Questions” section is back in this edition thanks to Dr. Bergeron who agreed to answer some of your questions. As for many years, Dr. Cantin will present the state of research in cystic fibrosis for this year.
Finally, in order to address various themes related to cystic fibrosis, we have also prepared a file that traces the history of cystic fibrosis over time, through portraits of the women and men who wrote it.
We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed preparing it. Happy reading!
