In addition to following our Cross Contamination Prevention Policy, here is the right attitude to adopt in the current situation:

1- Get informed

Stay on the lookout for the new directives that governments are taking and respect them Government of Quebec — https://www.quebec.ca/sante/problemes-de-sante/a-z/coronavirus-2019/#c46341 Government of Canada — https://www.canada.ca/fr/sante-publique/services/maladies/2019-nouveau-coronavirus.html

2- Employment

Ask your employer to telework or to obtain unemployment: we suggest that you do a preventive withdrawal, voluntary isolation, if your employer is open to this idea. If this is not possible, follow the infection prevention instructions issued by the government to the letter.

3- Stress and anxiety

Find techniques to manage your stress (call a hotline, see a health professional, meditate, do yoga, talk to your friend, exercise at home)

4- Living at a distance (medication + groceries)

Get your groceries and medications delivered. In addition, stock up on any supplies: ask for advance medication and buy non-perishable food.

5- To avoid

  • Avoid all types of transport (especially public transport)
  • Avoid gatherings of any kind

6- Your CF clinic

Don't go to the hospital without calling your clinic team first to get information on what to do, unless it's an emergency.

7- Treatments

Continue to do your treatments and rest

8- Hygiene and loved ones

  • Affirm your health and safety needs in order to respect and protect yourself from the people around you. Those around you must be more vigilant and take the appropriate measures.
  • Don't touch your face
  • Wash your hands for 20 seconds with soap and carry a Purell with you.

P.S. Do yourself a favor by doing activities (at home) such as painting, writing, listening to series, etc.! Patience and zenitude are required!
