Curfew and cystic fibrosis

January 7, 2021

From Saturday, January 9, and until February 8, a curfew will now be in force in Quebec. Between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., it will be forbidden for anyone to be outside their place of residence or the land of their residence, except in the case of exceptions.

People living with cystic fibrosis and their loved ones are directly targeted by these exceptions, as the reality of their daily lives often forces them not to respect this curfew measure. Don't worry! See below for the list of exceptions that can justify your presence outside your home between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

In any case, we strongly recommend that you always have written proof with you that can explain your departure. These documents will allow police officers to verify the legitimacy of the presence of a person who is driving during curfew: pharmacy bill, medical prescription, optometrist or dentist bill, etc.

On the other hand, to allow people who travel during the curfew because of their work to easily demonstrate the need for their travel, employers are invited to download, complete and sign the form Employer's certificate — Travel during the curfew declared by the Government of Quebec. You can download this form further down this page or on the site of the Government of Quebec.

Do not hesitate to contact us at info@vivreaveclafk.com for more information, or by phone at (514) 288-3157.

Exceptions (not an exhaustive list)
