Michel Paquette Prize and Marc Fortin Prize

Two distinctions are awarded in 2019 to recognize the exceptional commitment of individuals and organizations who have made an impact in the cystic fibrosis community, as well as the remarkable contribution of a person living with the disease.

Living with cystic fibrosis awards two awards to recognize the contribution and contribution of individuals and organizations working in the field of cystic fibrosis. In 2019, we will award the Michel-Paquette and Marc-Fortin awards.

MICHEL PAQUETTE PRIZE (awarded annually)

Each year, the Michel Paquette Prize is awarded to a person (natural or legal) working in the field of cystic fibrosis. This award was established in honor of Michel Paquette, who, for several years, served as president of Living with cystic fibrosis. His dynamism and determination allowed the committee to grow and to assert itself in its specificity.

MARC-FORTIN PRIZE (awarded every 3 years)

The Marc-Fortin Prize is awarded every three years to a person living with cystic fibrosis who has truly distinguished themselves by their exceptional contribution to the cause. Recall that Marc Fortin was the founding president of our organization. His action marked a major turning point in the Quebec world of cystic fibrosis, which, until then, had remained the preserve of the medical community and the research community. Thanks to Marc Fortin, the entire cystic fibrosis world had to learn to deal with the presence of a new player: Living with cystic fibrosis.
